What is an “Artist” anyway? And what does it really mean to say, “I am an Artist”?  I have always struggled with the meaning of this word. To be an Artist, does your creative mind have to run non-stop? Do you always have to be involved in a specific art project? Or is it all right to take breaks from creating? Are you entitled to be labeled an “Artist” if you only create something once a year, or even once every five years?

After many years of asking these questions, I have come to my own conclusion: it is all right not to always have something creative in the fire. When it is time to create, it is about that time, that moment. Yes, I am an Artist!
